Personal data (usually referred to as "data" in the following text) will only be processed by us as necessary and for the purpose of providing a functional and user-friendly website, including the content and services that it provides.

According to Article 4(2) of the EU regulation (EU) 2016/679, i.e. the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the "GDPR"), "processing" shall be deemed to be any operation or any such set of operations which is performed on personal data or sets of personal data with or without the aid of automated means, such as the collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination, or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

The following data protection statement serves to inform you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, to the extent that we decide either alone or in conjunction with others on the purposes and means of such processing. In addition, we inform you below about the external components we employ for optimization purposes and to increase the quality of use, insofar as this in turn involves third parties processing data under their own responsibility.

II. Rights of users and data subjects

With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the following rights:

  • to confirmation as to whether data relating to them is processed, to disclosure of the processed data, to further information on the data processing and to copies of the data (cf. also Article 15 GDPR);
  • to rectification or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (cf. also Article 16 GDPR);
  • to the immediate erasure of the data concerning them (cf. also Article 17 GDPR), or, alternatively, if further processing pursuant to Article 17(3) GDPR is required, to the restriction of processing pursuant to Article 18 GDPR;
  • to receipt of the data concerning them and provided by them, and to the transmission of the data to other providers/controllers (cf. also Article 20 GDPR);
  • to complaint to the supervisory authority, if they are of the opinion that the data concerning them are processed by the controller in violation of data protection regulations (cf. also Article 77 GDPR).

In addition, where the data has been transmitted by the controller, the controller is obligated to inform all recipients about every correction or erasure of data, and of every restriction of processing, pursuant to Article 16, 17(1) and 18 GDPR. However, this obligation shall not apply if such notification is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. Irrespective of the above, the user has a right to information about these recipients.

Users and data subjects also have the right to object to the future processing of data concerning them in accordance with Article 21 GDPR, provided that the data are processed by the controller in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for the purpose of direct marketing purposes is permissible.

III. Information on data processing

Your data processed during the use of our website shall be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply, as long as there are no legal retention requirements preventing the deletion of the data and as long as no other specifications regarding individual processing procedures are given in the following.

Server data

For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a secure and stable Internet presence, data is transmitted to us as well as to our web hosting provider via your Internet browser. With these so-called server log files we record for example the type and version of your Internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you navigated to our Internet site (referrer URL), the website(s) of our Internet site that you visit, the date and time of the respective access and the IP address of the Internet connection from which our Internet site is accessed.

The data collected in this way is stored temporarily, but not together with any other of your data.

This data is stored on the legal basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the improvement, stability, functionality and security of our Internet site.

The data shall be deleted at the latest after seven days, unless further storage is required for evidence purposes. In the latter case, all or part of the data shall be excluded from deletion until the incident has been finally resolved.

Cookies

a) Session Cookies

We use so-called cookies on our Internet website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are stored on your end device by the Internet browser you use. Cookies are used to individually process certain information related to you, such as your browser, your location data or your IP address.

This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, as the processing enables, for example, the presentation of our website in different languages and the provision of a shopping cart function.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, insofar as these cookies process data for contract initiation or contract execution.
Where the processing does not serve to initiate or process a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our Internet presence. In this case the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Upon closing your Internet browser, these session cookies are deleted.

b) Possibility of elimination

However, the necessary steps and measures depend on the specific Internet browser you are using. The Google Analytics service is used to analyze how our website is used. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the analysis, optimization, and economic operation of our site.

Usage and user-related information, such as IP address, place, time, or frequency of your visits to our website will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States and stored there. However, we use Google Analytics with the so-called anonymization function, whereby Google truncates the IP address within the EU or the EEA before it is transmitted to the US.

The data collected in this way is in turn used by Google to provide us with an evaluation of visits to our website and what visitors do once there. This data can also be used to provide other services related to the use of our website and of the Internet in general.

We use YouTube on our website. This is a video portal operated by YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, hereinafter referred to as "YouTube".

YouTube is a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter referred to as "Google".

Google and its subsidiary YouTube guarantee that they will follow the EU's data protection regulations when processing data in the United States.

We use YouTube in its advanced privacy mode to show you videos. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of our website. According to YouTube, the advanced privacy mode means that the data specified below will only be transmitted to the YouTube server if you actually start a video.

Without this mode, a connection to the YouTube server in the USA will be established as soon as you access any of our webpages on which a YouTube video is embedded.

This connection is required in order to be able to display the respective video on our website within your browser. YouTube will record and process at a minimum your IP address, the date and time the video was displayed, as well as the website you visited. In addition, a connection to the DoubleClick advertising network of Google is established.

If you are logged in to YouTube when you access our site, YouTube will assign the connection information to your YouTube account. To prevent this, you must either log out of YouTube before visiting our site or make the appropriate settings in your YouTube account.

For the purpose of functionality and analysis of usage behavior, YouTube permanently stores cookies on your device via your browser. Contract handling

The data you provide in order to make use of our range of goods and/or services will be processed by us for the purpose of fulfilling the contract and is therefore required. Conclusion and processing of contracts are not possible without the provision of your data.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

We delete the data on full completion of the contract, but must observe the retention periods under tax and commercial law.

In the process of fulfilling the contract, we forward your data to the transport company entrusted with the delivery of goods or to the financial service provider, insofar as the forwarding is necessary for the delivery of goods or for payment purposes.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Contacting us

Whenever you contact us via the contact form or by e-mail, the data you provide will be used to process your request. Providing the data is necessary for processing and answering your request - without this data provided by you we either cannot answer your request, or we can do so only in a limited way.

The legal basis for this processing is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Your data shall be deleted provided that your request has been finally answered and there are no legal retention obligations to the contrary, such as, for example, for the subsequent processing of a contract.
